Adoptive family needed for child to be born in July
[March 2009: We are no longer searching for an adoptive family for this situation. Thank you very much to the families who contacted us.]
If you are considering a domestic adoption or know someone who is, please take note of this (and pass it along):
A young, single woman (under 20 years old) is relocating to South Carolina, most likely in March, with plans to place her baby for adoption when the baby is born in early July. The woman is African American, and the child’s father is Latin American; the father is not involved and has not supported the mother. Both of the mother’s parents are in support of her adoption plan.
The mother has had pre-natal care up to now. However, she was kicked off her mother’s insurance because the policy does not cover teen pregnancy. She will go on Medicaid when she arrives in SC. The baby’s health is good, gender unknown.
Contact Carolina Hope for additional information (including estimated expenses).
