Friday, 2/29/08: Derek Webb / Caedmon’s Call @ Southside Fellowship

Interest is gathering for the Ethiopia Adoption benefit concert being held in 9 days. Just yesterday I got an email from a friend encouraging me and others to attend! I’ve copied the email below as a reminder to all of you within driving distance of the South Carolina Upstate. Caedmon’s Call and Derek Webb are known for their theologically thoughtful lyrics and their musical artistry. Tickets cost $15, but you’ll save $3 per ticket by ordering early.
Derek Webb Reunites w/ Caedmon’s Call in Greenville next Friday night (2/29/08)
Friends,
Caedmon’s Call is working together with Carolina Hope Adoption to help raise awareness and financial support for Ethiopian adoptions. A benefit concert will be held the evening of Friday, February 29th at 7 PM at Southside Fellowship in Greenville.
Desiring God Ministries will also be supporting the event with Don’t Waste Your Life books and a short video message from John Piper recorded specifically for the event.
From what we’ve been hearing from the road, the concert itself is a “not to be missed” event. Fans will enjoy the opening sets of Andrew Osenga and Derek Webb. The two solo artists then join the rest of the band for the main set of the evening.
Derek Webb hasn’t played with Caedmon’s since 2003, and we may not see this reunited band play together for a long time, if ever, again.
We’re hearing that audiences on this tour have been “getting their money’s worth” with the show lasting about 24 songs.
For the $15 tickets, this is a great deal. You can even save a little by purchasing advance tickets for $12 until the day of the show. Buying early would be a good idea, to ensure a seat the evening of the event.
Please pass this email on to your friends as well, if you think this is something they would enjoy.
