2 1/2 year old boy in need of adoption
We are looking for a Christian family that would be interested in adopting a 2 1/2 year old boy. He will be 3 in January. He is very bright and described as “hyper.” His guardian (great aunt) cannot run after him, as she has arthritis. The birth mother has a criminal history and is reportedly bi-polar. The child’s maternal great grandfather (guardian’s father) was an alcoholic and reportedly had mental health problems. No other members of the family have a history of mental illness.
The child is very healthy but may be somewhat lactose-intolerant.
The guardian has had the child since he was 2 weeks old, and the courts are allowing her to adopt him; however, she feels she cannot keep up with him due to her health problems. She loves him dearly and asks that she receive pictures of him and be allowed to visit with him once in a while, regardless of the distance. (She is willing to make her own arrangements.)
