USCIS International Adoption Immigration Forms
It may seem like an obvious thing to blog about, but a lot of prospective adoptive families don’t know where to go to get their CIS forms such as the I-600A and I-864W. (CIS and USCIS are the standard abbreviations for for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, formerly INS.) With their website redesign (last year, I think), CIS made finding forms a lot easier. Just go to www.uscis.gov, and click on the “Immigration Forms” option, one of the 6 gray navigation links near the top of the page. Or you can just click on the following link to CIS’s Immigration Forms page.
All of USCIS’s forms are at that page, and you can do a quick ctrl-f search for the one you want (i.e., “I-600A”). The linked form title will take you to a page that describes the form and allows you to download it as a PDF. If you lost your forms from the agency - or you never got what you needed - you can go here to get the most up-to-date immigration forms for the child you are adopting.
