Dear Expectant Parent(s),

Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to share a little about our family. We cannot begin to imagine what you are feeling right now, but we hope that you will come to know us, love us, and trust us to John and Beth with their boysraise your child as our very own. We admire your courage to make this difficult decision and pray you will be surrounded with God’s peace.

Our family of four includes: John (31), Beth (33), Austin (5 and a half), and Jacob (4).  We have been happily married for five years. We met, after college, through mutual friends. We were living across the country from one another but God brought us together and we were married in 2003. John is a software engineer and Beth is a nurse, although most of her time is spent as a stay-at-home mom.

Our life is filled with fun and adventure. We are both active in our church and love spending time with one another and as a family. We enjoy being outside, going to sporting events, hiking, and swimming with the kids just to name a few. John with their boys on a bridgeOur most favorite thing is vacationing as a family. Every summer we pack up the car and travel several hours to the beach. We splash in the water, relax in the sand, and eat ice cream every day. We spend quality time with our extended family and make wonderful memories. Our extended families are extremely supportive of our adoption and will love your child almost as much as we do.

From Beth:

My husband, John, is a selfless, encouraging husband and father. He has such a servant’s heart.  Whether it be helping a friend in need or providing service to a complete stranger, John is always eager to help out. He is continually seeking to be an encouragement to others. At home, he constantly compliments me and tells me how much he loves me. With our boys, he praises them for even little things and tells them how proud he is of them. John has a way of making everyone around him feel comfortable and valued.

My wife, Beth is a caring, fun-loving, and nurturing wife and mother. As a wife, she is constantly doing little things for me to show me she cares. She respects me and builds me up. Beth has a tender heart for all children but especially her own. The manner in which she cares for our children is selfless. She loves to have fun and is the first one to get down and play on the floor with our kids. She does not think twice about putting her own needs aside to fulfill the needs and dreams of her family. Beth makes sure everyone feels taken care of and loved.

Our sons, Austin and Jacob, are truly a blessing. We adopted both boys from Russia in 2005. They have been such precious gifts from God. They continually brighten our days and keep us on our toes. Austin is sensitive, inquisitive, and very affectionate. Jacob is full of energy, laughs a lot, and is a charmer. The boys love playing together but often ask about “having a sister someday.” They have been a part of our adoption process and are very excited to welcome a baby sister into our family.

Our home has four bedrooms and is located in a safe, kid-friendly neighborhood. There is a beautiful yard for the kids to play in and many parks close-by. John and Beth's boysBeth’s parents and her brother’s family live within 10 minutes of us and play an active role in our kids’ lives. It is great having the support of family so close by.

Our desire as a couple has always been to have children. Although we have faced infertility issues, God has blessed us tremendously through adoption. We don’t believe that adoption is second best; we believe it is a blessing that not everyone is fortunate enough to experience.

Our promise to you is that your little girl will be loved unconditionally, provided for to the best of our ability, and allowed to blossom into the person God wants her to be. We promise to be her biggest cheerleaders and to let her know what a huge sacrifice you made so that we could be given the most precious gift of all.

Sincerely,

John & Beth
