History with the Agency
Before coming to Carolina Hope in 2007, Dan was Assistant Professor of Bible and Theology at Baptist Bible College in Clark Summit, PA. He has also taught Bible on the high school level and written Bible educational materials. Because of his love for adoption (the Cruvers have adopted two boys) and the centrality of Christ in his life, Dan contacted Carolina Hope in 2006 about assisting the agency in reaching out to churches and educating Christians about orphan care and adoption. Dan’s position as Director of Ministry Outreach allowed him to regularly write and speak about Theological Adoption (God’s adoption of his people) and about how God’s adopting love should affect human adoption. He is now the Director of Together for Adoption (T4A), an organization unaffiliated with Carolina Hope, but he continues to write for Carolina Hope’s blog.

Interests
Dan is married and has four children, Daniel II, Hannah, Isaiah, and Noah. Daniel II died at the age of 3. Dan’s favorite activity is time spent with his wife and children. He regularly writes for his personal blog, Eucatastrophe.com, and he’s also writing a children’s book about God’s story of adoption. Dan’s favorite work of fiction is The Lord of the Rings, and he has a keen interest in ancient languages. Dan is available to speak at churches (and in other settings) about various adoption topics.
